What is this about?

overlapped.dog is my webcomic about a pug called Harry with way too many thoughts.
He lives with his two dads, Klaus and Martin, who constantly create a quiet competition over who's the “better parent.”

Neither of them is aware of it. To each, it just feels natural to show their affection in their own way. But from Harry's perspective, their love turns into a confusing game of contradictions: one dad tells him he's the only one who could ever love him that much — and the other says the exact same thing.

For Harry, it's impossible to know what's true anymore, even though both of them are just honest about their feelings.
His confidence wobbles under the weight of all that love, and he starts overthinking everything — until he turns to his housemates for help:

  • Tina Tuna, a cat who's only willing to listen or even help when there's something in for her,
  • Doby, the neighbor’s dog, a nervous wreck who turns every story into a full-blown catastrophe.

At its heart, overlapped.dog is an absurdly tender comic about a dog trying to figure out what it means to be a good boy — when everyone around him is already sure they know what that means.

Why isn't this section called FAQ?

Because no one knows about this comic yet — so technically, no one has asked these questions frequently. Besides, most FAQs are written by creators who just don't want to get these questions at all. So here I am, being honest about it.

How often do new comics come out?

Whenever inspiration strikes and life allows. This is a passion project created somewhere between the chaos of everyday life and too much coffee — so irregular, but hopefully worth the wait.

Why is it called overlapped.dog?

Because Harry is literally overlapped — sitting between two laps, two opinions, two worlds, and a mind full of overlapping thoughts.

Is this a comic about dogs?

Yes, but actually it’s about people. Just with fewer consequences and a bit more drool.

Does it take place in a real city?

Somewhere between the couch, the kitchen, and the garden fence. Real enough to relate to — surreal enough that cats can win arguments.

Do I need to like dogs to enjoy it?

No. But it helps if you’ve ever tried to make two people happy at the same time.

Is it autobiographical?

Let’s just say parts were inspired by real conversations between humans and animals — the humans just don’t know it.

Will there be merchandise?

Once Harry finally figures out which lap to sit on — absolutely.

Why do the animals sound like they’re having existential crises?

Because they know humans are having the same ones — just with different words.

How often do new strips appear?

As soon as Harry finishes thinking. (So regularly, but never quite on time.)

Who is this comic for?

Anyone with a sense of humor, empathy, and an appreciation for the chaos that happens when love and logic collide.
